Lucille “Gran” Foster 95, formerly of Creal Springs, IL ran into the arms of Jesus at 7:45am, August 11, 2018 at Shawnee Christian Nursing Home, Herrin, IL

She was born October 7, 1922, in West Frankfort, IL to parents Earl and Nettie (Wright) Burnett. She was Married to John Raymond Foster for 44 years.

Lucille is survived by her son John Foster and wife Marsha, daughter Netta (Foster) Thompson and husband Deon, son Darron Foster and wife Stella.

She is also survived by many Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, Step Grandchildren, Great Great Grandchildren and Step Great Great Grandchildren; Robin (Foster) Loyd, husband Jair and son Noble, Renee (Foster) Gibson, husband Tim and son Grayson, Jamie Ann (Dodd) Powell, husband Harold, children Jessica and Robert, Jamie Thompson, wife Katheryn, children, Faith, Jake and Gabe, grandchildren, Drake and Khloe, Melanie (Thompson) Koehler, husband Kevin, children, Nathan and Braxton, Mylia (Thompson) Jennings, husband Edwin, children, Ethan and Ashlynn, Angie (Foster) Slagle, husband Mike, children Seth and Lindsay, grandchildren, Coral and Lorenzo, Duane Foster, wife Kristen, daughter Morgan, Chad Foster, children Nicholas and Levi, Brent Foster, wife Robin, children Heather, Jenna and Dustin, grandkids, Marley, Cambrie, Emma, Cooper and Drake, Aaron Foster, wife Lisa, children Avery, Emily and Levi, Travis Foster, wife Jenny and daughter Skye.

Her parents, Earl and Nettie Burnett, Husband John Raymond Foster and son William “Bill” Foster preceded her in death.

Lucille had a strong faith in God and she shared with everyone about Jesus all the way up to the days before her death. She had a long happy life and was known for her infectious laughter, love of chocolate and jewelry. She was intelligent, funny, sassy, and her family was her life. We will all will miss her dearly.

Visitation will be from 5-8pm on Tuesday, August 14th and the funeral service will be held at 11 am Wednesday August 15, 2018 at Cosby-Sloan Funeral Home in Creal Springs. Rev. James Thompson will officiate. Burial will follow at Simmons Cemetery in Creal Springs.

If desired, memorial donations can be made to Simmons Cemetery and will be accepted at the Cosby-Sloan Funeral Home.
