During its recent meeting, the Illinois Health Facilities and Services Review Board (HFSRB) awarded a Certificate of Need (CON) to Ferrell Hospital for their proposed expansion and renovation project. The approved plan will modernize the 25-bed critical access hospital and provide space for expanded health services. The anticipated cost of the modernization project is $37 million. Any hospital projects that exceed $12.9 million are required to go before the HFSRB and attain approval.
The Ferrell Hospital Board of Directors, administrators, and staff are excited to move forward with the expansion project. The economic impact coupled with the increased health services provided in the Eldorado area will generate positive momentum for the entire community. Interviews regarding the expansion project are available. Please contact Bethany Reyling at firstname.lastname@example.org or (618)297-9606 to arrange time with Ferrell leaders.
