Tyler Matthew Anderson, age 17, of Galatia, passed away at 11:17 PM, Friday, April 24, 2020.
Tyler was born on September 4, 2002, in Carbondale, to Randall S. and Jeanette (Randolph) Anderson. Tyler was a junior at Galatia High School. He was a member of the Galatia FFA, Country Clovers 4H, Galatia/Thompsonville Trapcats and the Galatia Lions Club. Tyler had a passion to farm. He enjoyed hunting, camping and socializing with friends. Tyler always had a smile on his face, and he brought a tender heart and positive attitude into any room. He always strived for success, trying to be the best at whatever he did.
Tyler is survived by his parents, Randy and Jeanette Anderson, his brother, Patrick Anderson of Galatia; maternal grandparents, Donald and LaDonna Randolph of Broughton; paternal grandmother, Emily Anderson of Galatia; aunt and uncle, Kim and Craig Huelsmann of Raleigh; cousins, Caleb and Colin Huelsmann of Raleigh; two special aunts and uncles, Charlie and Linda Hopson of Raleigh and John and Donna Kay Wooldridge of Broughton; special friends, Kate Bond, Haylee Brown and Trevor Hale, all of Galatia, and his best friend, “Hank”.
Tyler was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Henry “Shorty” Anderson.
Graveside services will be held at Ebeneezer Cemetery at 11 AM, Thursday, April 30, 2020. Rev. Aaron Phelps and Justin Ferrell will officiate. Memorial contributions may be made to Galatia FFA or Galatia/Thompsonville Trapcats, envelopes will be available at the cemetery and the funeral home. Those wishing to attend should gather at the cemetery and practice social distancing.
