    Quality Assurance and Ethics Certification

Attention:  4-H members enrolled in any animal project area have until June 1 to complete the online Quality Assurance and Ethics Certification (QAEC) course in order to remain enrolled in the project.

This online training must be done if a member is enrolled in one of the following 4-H projects:  Beef, Dairy, Cats, Dogs, Goats, Horse & Pony, Poultry, Rabbits, Sheep, Swine, and Animal or Vet Science Poster Projects.

The training is to be completed online at:  http://web.extension.illinois.edu/qaec/.      Youth will only have to complete the certification one time in their 4-H career.  The deadline for completing this online certification in Saline County is June 1.  Any youth not completing the QAEC training by that date will be removed from any 4-H animal projects and will not be allowed to exhibit these projects at the Saline County 4-H shows.

After youth complete the training, they are instructed to print out the certificate and Affidavit, sign it and bring it to the Extension office for our files.  The State 4-H office is automatically notified upon completion of training.

Anyone needing help accessing the internet to complete their QAEC training should call the Extension office at 618-252-8391.
