The Pleasant Valley Go-Getters March 20th meeting was called to order by Chloe Hopkins at 7:08 pm. The American Pledge was led by Cheyenne Vandenboom and the 4-H Pledge by Lillian Siler. Roll Call was called by Courtney Boulds as well as the Secretary’s report. Also, Callie Oxford gave the Treasures Report. A new member was introduced, Kylee Bridewell. Old Business was Rally Night. The turn-out was good even after the snow day delay, and fun was had by all! New Business is Enrollment and Project Sheets and International Night. Enrollment and project sheets need to be turned in soon. International Night is on April 30th. Set up will be at 5:15 pm and it starts at 6pm at the First Church of God in Harrisburg. This is a county wide event. We have chosen our country to be Nicaragua. More planning will be done at our next meeting. We had 2 talks/demonstrations. A talk was given by Callie Oxford on Nicaragua and a demonstration was done by Carter Herman about electricity. Courtney Boulds signed up to do a talk for next meeting. Our next meeting is on April 16th at 7pm at the First Church of God in Harrisburg. Courtney Boulds and Rachel Lands volunteered to bring drinks to the next meeting. If you would like to become a 4-H Member there are several clubs in Saline County. You can call Nancy Lambert at the U of I Extension Office in Harrisburg for more information. Her number is 618-252-8391. 4-H is not only fun and exciting, it gives you the opportunity to explore and learn from many project areas and make new friends!
