Sheriff's Office Visits Kiwanis

The Harrisburg Kiwanis held their weekly luncheon meeting on Wednesday, February 14, 2018, at Ponderosa.
Keith Brown’s guest speaker was Ken Clore, Chief Deputy of Saline County Sheriff’s Office. Clore has been in the law enforcement of local and state police for 49 years. Saline County Sheriff’s Office has handled last year’s cases of 323 automotive, 600 offenses and 2900 civil cases. The jail at present has 110 beds occupied and only 20 are paid. Major cases Clore has been involved in are: bomb threat to courthouse, Carrier Mills bank robbery and Dr. Burns case of murder and kidnap of State’s Attorney. Some of the shootings in Harrisburg are turf wars over drugs. Clore passed out literature.
