6510 District Governor Visits Harrisburg


The Harrisburg Rotary held their weekly luncheon meeting on Monday, July 10, 2017, at Ponderosa. President Rocky Hull presided over the meeting. Martin Rowe, Assistant District Governor introduced Garrett Rowe, Martin, and Angela Rowe’s son, who gave an update on his experiences in China while he was a Rotary foreign exchange student.
Rowe also introduced a special guest of Jill S. Pietrusinski, Rotary District Governor. Jill stated some facts about Rotary; 1) the 2017-18 theme is “Making a Difference”, 2) the Rotary is 112 years old, 3) Rotary has 1.2 million members, 4) the Harrisburg district has 1500 members, 5) Rotary has one of the best foundations in the world.
Jill also stated that membership will be stressed in the 2017-18 year. Also, a study will be done on what each Rotary member does for the community. Jill also stated the district Rotary has created a response team for disasters.
