CASA Visits Rotary


The Harrisburg Rotary held their weekly luncheon meeting on Monday, March 6, 2017 at Ponderosa. Herb Klickner’s program was CASA. Trina Irwin, Director of CASA reported Herb is doing well on recuperation from his triple by pass surgery that occurred one month ago. CASA stands for Court Appointed Special Advocate. CASA is a national, state and local program. The Saline County CASA has had 251 cases over five year period with 68 children being adopted and 91 reuniting with parents. CASA’s goal is to reunite children with parents if anyway possible subject to legality. Saline County CASA has 21 active advocates. Forty plus hours of training are required to be an advocate.
