HHS Updates Kiwanis on Construction

The Harrisburg Kiwanis held their weekly luncheon meeting on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Ponderosa.  Malinda Field reported the January 15, 2017 Kiwanis bowling was a success with 23 teams present.  Funds from the event will be given to HHS Bowling team coach Doug Cottom for funding of the bowling team.  The HYA/Kiwanis Radio Auction was January 28, 2017 at the park office.  Ray Price Tribute fundraiser is March 4, 2017 in the City Auditorium.  HHS Superintendent Michael Gaugh stated construction is optimistic for August 1st opening and at present are on budget.  In 2017 the students will take the SAT test versus ACT in 2016.  Future plans are to put in more vocational programs per Scott Dewar, building principal.
