4-H Swine Show Results
The Saline County 4-H Swine Show was held on July 28th at the Sam Stafford Building on the Saline County Fairgrounds. 4-H Swine exhibitors showed off their animals to judge Austin Cole. Thank you to Samantha Parish for serving as superintendent for the swine show.
Grand Champion Senior Showmanship honors went to Joel Glenn and Eran Oglesby took home the ribbon for Reserve Champion Senior Showmanship. Intermediate Showmanship Grand Champion was Kate Bond, with Tyler Anderson taking home a Reserve Champion ribbon in that category. Junior Showmanship Grand Champion was Kylee Oglesby, and Junior Showmanship Reserve Champion was Lucy Peterson.
Grand Champion and Reserve Champion Purebred Breeding Swine honors went to Kate Bond. Patrick Anderson earned the Grand Champion Crossbred Breeding Swine ribbon and Joel Glenn took home the Reserve Champion ribbon for Crossbred Breeding Swine.
The Overall Breeding Champion awards went to Kate Bond as Grand Champion and to Patrick Anderson as Reserve Champion.
Kate Bond received the Grand Champion Purebred Market Swine ribbon and Lucy Peterson earned the Reserve Champion Purebred Market Swine ribbon. The Grand Champion Crossbred Market Swine honors went to Tyler Anderson, with Caleb Boulds receiving a Reserve Champion ribbon in this category.
The Overall Market Swine Champion awards went to Tyler Anderson as Grand Champion and to Kate Bond as Reserve Champion.
Champion Bred and Owned Swine, sponsored by Anderson Crop Insurance – Phil and Karen Anderson, went to Kate Bond. Reserve Champion Bred and Owned Swine, sponsored by B & M Farms – Ron and Carla Bradley, went to Joel Glenn. Congratulations to all of our Swine exhibitors.
