Federation Meets Monday
The Saline County 4-H Federation will meet on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Extension office. All Federation delegates and other 4-H members interested in the Federation are encouraged to attend. We are having a soup supper.
We will be electing new officers for the upcoming 4-H year. 4-H members interested in running for a Federation officer position are reminded to bring a completed petition to the meeting. We will also be finalizing plans for National 4-H Week. See you there!
Annual Expansion and Review Meeting
Saline County 4-H will hold our annual Expansion and Review Meeting in conjunction with the 4-H Federation Meeting on September 12, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at the Extension Office. 4-H members, adult volunteers and interested members of the public are invited to come and share their ideas on past events and future needs for our program to move forward with growth and success.
Management Committee Meets
The 4-H Management Committee will meet on Monday, September 12, 2016 at 7:00 p.m. at the Extension office. Those in attendance will discuss the 2016 4-H show season and choose award and trophy winners for Achievement Night. All Management Committee members are encouraged to attend
Eldorado Mayoral Proclamation
On Tuesday, September 13, 2016, all Eldorado area 4-H members are invited to come to City Hall to witness as Mayor Rocky James signs a proclamation declaring Eldorado’s support of National 4-H Week. The signing will occur at 4:30 p.m. at Eldorado City Hall. Don’t forget to wear your favorite 4-H T-shirt.
National 4-H Week PSA’s
Saline County 4-H members and adult volunteers will be recording Public Service Announcements at WEBQ radio station on Thursday, September 15, 2016 from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. The PSA’s will run during National 4-H Week, October 2-8, 2016.
I will have some pre-written announcements. A member or adult volunteer may also write a 30 second spot about his/her own personal 4-H experience. Please call the Extension office at 252-8391 if you can record a message.
Harrisburg Mayor Proclamation
On Thursday, September 15, 2016 all Harrisburg area 4-H members are invited to City Hall to have your picture made with Mayor Dale Fowler as he signs a proclamation declaring Harrisburg’s support of National 4-H Week.
The signing will occur at 6:00 p.m. at Harrisburg City Hall at the beginning of the council meeting. Please plan to arrive no later than 5:45 p.m. and don’t forget to wear your favorite 4-H T-shirt.
