The Harrisburg Rotary held their weekly luncheon meeting on Monday, August 8, 2016 at Ponderosa. James Bond’s guest speaker was Mark Motsinger, President of Saline County Historical Society. “Preserving the Past for Future Generations” is the motto of the Historical Society. One of the main goals of the Historical Society is to preserve old buildings. Old buildings at the Saline Creek Pioneer Museum are; River Pirate Cabins, Aydolette barn and cabin, Cain Church, General Store and post office, one room school house and other historical buildings. The Saline County Historical Society is located at the Saline County Pioneer Museum at 1600 S. Feazel, Harrisburg.
Anyone interested in joining or helping at the Saline County Historical Society may come to their meetings held on the third Thursday of the month at 7 pm.
